The Society of Golden Eagles
All contributors whose annual support of the operations of the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America, reaches or surpasses $5,000 are recognized as members of The Society of Golden Eagles.

Support from our friends is very much appreciated.  With the donor’s permission, South Florida Council will acknowledge Society of Golden Eagle members for their generous investment in the character development of America’s youth in the following manner:
  • The South Florida Council has a special Society of Golden Eagles honor wall in the lobby of the Scout Service Center. The names of all Society of Golden Eagle members are etched in a beautiful and permanent display wall in the Scout Service Center in Miami Lakes.


  • Special recognition will be accorded to our Society of Golden Eagles members at the annual Scout Youth Expo, South Florida Scouting’s largest annual event.


  • The Society of Golden Eagles members will be recognized in The Scouter, South Florida Council’s corporate newsletter that is circulated to over 7,500 families and businesses in south Florida.


  • Special name recognition will be given to members at the Council’s Annual Recognition Banquet.


  • All current Society of Golden Eagles members will be recognized in the Council’s annual report.


Gifts qualifying for membership in the Society of Golden Eagles are:

  • Friends of Scouting Campaign contributions
  • Sponsorships of any major event conducted by the South Florida Council
  • Support for new or ongoing programs that serve our youth
  • General undesignated contributions to the operations of the Council
  • In-kind contributions of goods and/or services
